We have absolutely fallen in love with This Is The Place park. We have already gone several times this spring and my kids (and me) have enjoyed every minute of our fun little adventures that we have there.

On our latest adventure earlier this month we invited a few friends to join us on the fun and we ended up spending several hours together at the park and my kids have been begging to go back ever since.
Our first stop is always straight to the train stop where we sit and wait for the fun little locomotive to pull up and offer us a ride around the town. Every single time we have gone we get the friendliest conductors that really love to play their part! Of course we always have to sit in the Caboose and yell “Full Steam Ahead!” when it’s time to take off.
While on the train you get to tour the area, see real life houses from back in the day, check out the orchard, and learn some interested facts and history. We usually take the first stop which leaves us up by the Huntsman Hotel.

Now that summer is almost here, the splash pad will be opening back up at the Irrigation Station! These features always make a big ‘splash’ with my kids. (See what I did there)! During the hot summer days this is a perfect way to cool down and have some fun. Plus you can walk across the road to the ZCMI shop and pick up some old school penny candies to munch on while you play!
My kids favorite part by far are the pony rides and seeing the animals. Pony rides are such a fun part of childhood and I love that they get to experience it here. During the spring and early summer months you can also see some baby animals, milk a pretend cow, hold some baby chicks, and hang out with some goats! For my animal loving daughter, this place is her favorite and I usually have to pull her away……

Until we get to the Children’s Playground. I actually overlooked this playground the first time I visited and I am so glad that we got the chance to play this time! My kids loved it (and I loved the chance to sit and chat with a friend while they played. Win-Win!) It’s filled with adorable little houses, a wood train, and tons of room for imaginative play.

After we got the kids all tired out we grabbed ourselves some delicious sugary treats from Brigham’s Donuts and then caught the train to head back home.
We are super excited to go back this summer and explore some of the things we haven’t got to yet. Things like trying out some pioneer chores, panning for gold, riding the mini train around the pond, and much more!
We plan to be back to This Is The Place a lot this summer and we really hope that you will enjoy it has much as we do! Remember that you can save $2 off your admission when you use this link to get your tickets!
